Demetra Mazria is a communications designer working in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She recently left her position as a web and interactive designer for Style.com to pursue design as an independent contractor.
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Demetra traveled across the country to obtain her BFA from Syracuse University's Communications Design department. After graduation, she relocated to New York City where she has worked for the past 5 years. She considers herself a problem-solver and enjoys working closely with her clients in customizing their needs through the creative process. She has prior professional experience in packaging, print, advertising and web/interactive design.
Demetra has worked with a wide range of clients, ranging from corporate to non-profit, from large corporations to small businesses. She is constantly searching for new and challenging projects, especially ones that have important social and environmental context. She is particularly interested in social media and experimental marketing, and has a inexplicable fondness for web coding (such as this website).
In her spare time she bakes, scours estate sales, watercolors, updates her food blog, and tries to get as much sunshine as possible.
